Standing on a prime piece of real estate on Dubai Beach Road, the iconic wave shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel is a must stay for travellers looking for a waterfront location to relax and recuperate.

The 598 sea-facing rooms guarantee you an impressive view of the Arabian Gulf, and there are 19 private villas for guests looking for something a little more secluded.

For old school charm
Positioned on the western crescent of the Palm Jumeirah, the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray takes its inspiration from Ottoman era Imperial Palaces, offering a traditional vibe despite only recently opening in 2012.

The grounds and hotels are typically grandiose in style and the hotel plays host to one of the largest spas in the whole of the Middle East. The Talise Ottoman spa covers 8,000 square meters and includes 42 treatment rooms and eight hydrotherapy rooms. You can also enjoy a sauna or a steam, or take advantage of three Turkish hammams. Pay a visit to Madinat Jumeirah. Comprising of two grand boutique hotels –the Jumeirah Al Qasr and the Jumeirah Mina A’ Salam­­ –29 traditional summer houses in Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf and seven Jumeirah Malakiya Villas, you won’t struggle to find your perfect home among this rambling coastal estate. Positioned on a private beach and surrounded by 3km of private gardens and waterways, the resort provides a welcome break from the chaotic city vibes of downtown Dubai.

A choice of 40 bars and restaurants makes finding a restaurant easy and there’s plenty of culture to immerse yourself in. The Madinat theatre holds some of the UAE’s largest outdoor events and the resort recently hosted Art Dubai, the leading international art fair in the Middle East.

A recreation of an ancient Arabian market place and 75 boutique-style shops cater to your inner shopaholic, while a choice of five pools ensures plenty of space to relax.

You can even view endangered sea turtles at Dubai’s only turtle rehabilitation centre, based within the resort.

A fourth hotel in the form of Jumeirah Al Naseem opens later in the year and is set to offer even greater choice for guests.
