An exciting new route; flights that are now available from Stansted airport, and the latest version of the BA app

British Airways takes off for Tehran
British Airways will resume direct flights to the Iranian capital of Tehran from 1 August 2016. The route will initially fly from London Heathrow Terminal 5 six times a week, before increasing to a daily service this winter. The service will be operated by a four-class Boeing 777.

Fly from Stansted this summer
BA will add a fourth airport to its list of London departure points when flights from Stansted begin this summer. From 28 May, BA CityFlyer will operate flights to Faro, Malaga, Palma and Ibiza on a 98-seat Embraer 190 jet, with a choice of two cabins – Club Europe and Euro Traveller.

Appily ever after
Following the success of the BA travel app on the iPhone, a version has been designed for iPad users. It includes a 3D globe of BA destinations, live prices and up-to-date inflight entertainment news. A separate Executive Club section allows members to see their tier status and Avios balance. To download the app head to the Apple App Store.

Group travel made easy
An online tool that makes booking group travel easier is being trialled on trips to the US, Canada and Mexico. Set up your group on the Our Trip site, and each traveller can select and pay for their flights individually, eliminating the need to have one person in charge of the entire booking.

Setting the bar high
From 1 March, a new selection of Champagne and beer will be available on BA flights. Champagne de Castelnau Reserve Brut NV is now the Champagne of choice for customers flying in Club Europe. Cornwall’s St Austell Brewery will provide its signature pale ale Tribute to all BA customers flying long haul, in Club Europe cabins and in BA lounges.
