This podcast, created by Jason Moore, is all about providing inspiration and advice to travellers, from those new to globetrotting to seasoned nomads. In this particular episode, husband and wife duo Heath and Alyssa Padgett talk to Jason about buying a campervan and living on the open road – and the million-dollar views that come free with that life. Having started their adventures covering all 50 states of the USA in their RV, they moved on to New Zealand, which they talk about extensively here, covering everything from how to make money on the road to the best bits of the country to explore.

The Rough Guide to Everywhere: In Search of the Northern Lights

Telegraph travel writer and The Rough Guide podcast host Greg Dickinson travels to Finnish Lapland in this episode as he goes on a hunt to see the Northern Lights. This is not your average road trip, as it takes place very much ‘off road’, but it gives the most stunning aural depiction of a journey across frozen lakes and through mystic woods as Greg strives to get a glimpse of the aurora borealis. Indie Travel Podcast: Mexico Road Trip

Craig and Linda Martin have been full-time travellers since 2006, and four years later started the Indie Travel Podcast as a means to document their experiences. In this episode, the couple talk us through their Mexico road trip, travelling through three states in the southern part of the country: Yucatan, Chiapas and Campeche. With an adventure that started and ended in Cancun, they talk about climbing pyramids, jungle-strewn roads, lucking out on authentic Mexican food and the must-stop spots on their agenda.
