London to Seattle: American Airlines launches new direct flight
British Airways partner American Airlines has launched a direct flight from Seattle to London Heathrow operating three times a week. British Airways has joined forces with DO & CO and Feast Box to launch a limited edition British Airways-branded food delivery box inspired by First dining. Inside are ingredients and recipes – varying from scrummy starters to quintessentially British puds – usually enjoyed by those flying in the First cabin. The aim? To help recreate the joy of flying from the comfort of your home.

Union Coffee celebrates its 20th anniversary

Alaska Airlines joins oneworld
A longstanding codeshare and frequent flyer partner to British Airways, Alaska Airlines has, as of 31 March 2021, joined oneworld® to become the 14th full member of the global alliance. Founded in 1932, Alaska Airlines is the fifth-largest carrier in the US by total seats and passenger traffic, offering 1,200 daily flights to more than 115 destinations across the US, Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica. The airline completed its merger with Virgin America in 2018 and has its major hubs in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Anchorage. British Airways helps crown the winner of the European Tech Rocketship Awards
German clean growth firm Breeze Technologies has been named this year's winner of the Department for International Trade‘s (DIT) European Tech Rocketship Awards. DIT Europe held its first European version of the Tech Rocketship Awards on 24 March, in a competition that attracted almost 650 entries from 30 countries across Europe and Israel. The Grand Finale saw eight Category Winners battle it out in live ‘dragons den’ style pitches in front of a panel of VIP judges. The judging panel was headed by the DIT’s Minister for Investment, Gerry Grimstone, and included the Chief Information and Digital Officer at British Airways, Anthony Allcock. British Airways supported the awards by giving the eight chosen panellists 100,000 Avios each and a pair of CE tickets to fly them over to London Tech week later this year.
