Albert Arts, Nice

Albert Goldberg, son of local veteran tailor Jean Goldberg [see Façonnable below], is very active in Nice’s fashion scene. At Albert Arts, his boutique for men, you’ll find beautifully tailored clothes for every occasion. Choose from 800 fabrics to create a bespoke suit, or elevate your weekend wear with a cashmere jumper. Albert Arts is also known for jeans with the Union Jack logo – after all, the store is on the Promenade des Anglais.

Façonnable, Nice

International men’s brand Façonnable started life in Jean Goldberg’s workshop on Rue Paradis, Nice in 1950. It quickly became known as an epicentre of chic, with Hollywood stars including Cary Grant and Tony Curtis wearing Goldberg’s designs. The modern store stands in the same location and remains the best place to find a shirt or suit, but you can now also find sunglasses, watches and a women’s line.
