EVENT • August 2017
The Club’s latest After Hours event, exclusively for Executive Club Members, was a celebration of cuisine from New Orleans and the US Deep South. Here are the highlights from the event – which even included a marriage proposal
The latest After Hours Club, ‘A taste of the USA’, at Madison London tempted many of you to join us for a celebration of all things New Orleans, from jazz and bourbon cocktails to buttermilk fried chicken and beignets.
Executive Club members gathered at the rooftop bar terrace on two dates – 3 July and 10 July – to enjoy cocktails, mingle, and tuck into a tasty menu of US Southern canapés created by Madison’s head chef, Robin Tarver. Enticing dishes included juicy Cajun spiced prawns, sticky barbecued ribs, and Oysters Rockefeller.
New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau representative Neil Jones was also on hand to answer guests’ burning questions about British Airways’ new route – which launched earlier this year in March – while jazz band Dom Pipkin Trio provided a backdrop of soulful sounds for the evening.
One guest even found his happily ever after by getting down on one knee and proposing to his girlfriend.
Every guest received a goody bag, which included mini bottles of Tabasco hot sauce, samples of Louisanna Bayou Rum and Casamigos Tequila, Perricone skincare products from High Life Shop, a D&D drinks voucher, and destination guides and Mardi Gras beads from the New Orleans tourist board.
