Battersea Power Station: a festive guide for every traveller

Whatever Christmas adventure you’re after, you’ll find it at Battersea Power Station. The Grade II*-listed building is an iconic landmark on the London skyline, immortalised in film and art – and on the cover of Pink Floyd’s classic 1977 album, Animals. Now restored to its former glory, Battersea Power Station is reimagined as a cultural, retail and entertainment hub, all just a short hop from the City and the West End.

Battersea Power Station is transformed at Christmas time, with decorations inspired by the building’s Art Deco heritage alongside the classics – festive trees that twinkle as far as the eye can see, oversized candy canes and delicate snowflakes. In Malaysia Square, a 40ft Christmas tree glittering with more than 1,500 baubles stands guard. Suffice to say that photo ops are plentiful – as is the potential for seasonal cheer, no matter your merrymaking style.
