The airline launches its Cenentary celebrations, exciting new destinations are welcomed to the summer schedule, TSA PreCheck is enabled for smart phones, plus the great city of Islamabad makes its way to the network 

100 years of British Airways
On August 25 2019, British Airways will celebrate 100 incredible years of taking the world to Britain and Britain to the world. To mark its Centenary, the airline will be hosting a variety of activities and events over the coming months. This will include identifying BA’s 100 Great Britons; people from around the country who epitomise modern Britain, including stars from the worlds of business, film and entertainment, food and drink, philanthropy, art, science, sport and more. Some of the 100, including actress Olivia Coleman and champion boxer Anthony Joshua, can be seen in a new brand campaign, recently launched to mark the start of BA’s Centenary year, as seen below. TSA PreCheck goes mobile
Responsible for ensuring quicker security checks for pre-registered customers departing select US airports, the TSA PreCheck service can now be used with mobile boarding passes. British Airways customers wishing to join the programme need to enrol in advance via the TSA website. For further information, visit ba.com

Summer schedule shaping up
From seductive cities to beach-hugging hideaways, four new direct services from Heathrow will ensure your 2019 trip stands out from the summer holiday crowd. Direct from Heathrow, customers can jet off to pretty Preveza on Greece’s north-western coast (26 May to 29 September 2019); Corsica’s crowning glory, Bastia (25 May - 28 September 2019); Montpellier in the south of France (11 July - 2 September 2019) and the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana (12 July - 2 September 2019). Get set for Pakistan
The tranquil city of Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, is the latest destination to be added to the British Airways network at Heathrow (pictured above). Beginning on 2 June 2019, the three-per-week service will be operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the airline’s newest fleet members. With its splendid mosques, museums and hiking trails, Islamabad is just one of the long-haul routes being launched by British Airways in 2019, the airline’s centenary year.
