Model, actress and Gold Executive Club Member, Elizabeth Hurley, talks to The Club about filming in Chechnya, her bucket list destinations and packing essentials

Can you describe a favourite travel memory?
Once you’ve been to the Maldives (pictured below), it’s hard to want to go anywhere else. I first visited 12 years ago and thought the resorts were staggeringly gorgeous – white sands, turquoise waters, excellent food and fabulous service. Every time I go back the levels of luxury seem to have risen.

Where’s the most unusual place your work has taken you?
While not remote, filming in Chechnya with Gerard Depardieu a few years ago was certainly challenging. The locals on the set were very welcoming and kind but everyone was armed to the teeth and I felt nervous.

Which destination has inspired you the most?
We shot last year’s Elizabeth Hurley Beach campaign at La Mamounia Hotel in Marrakech, which has to be one of the world’s most sensual and luxurious hotels. The grounds are spectacular with something new to see everywhere you turn. I love Morocco and long for a proper vacation there.

Where’s top of your bucket list?
I’ve hardly travelled in South America and I’d love to spend a month there. Hot, sexy and exotic - all my favourites.

What’s the most memorable hotel you’ve stayed in?
I love the Umaid Bhawan Palace (pictured page top) in Jodhpur, India which is home to the Maharajah of Jodhpur and exquisite in every way; beautiful, serene and brimming with history.

If you had to live abroad, where would you choose?
I would live in Paris - although I’d probably end up 30lbs heavier. Everything is more delicious in France.

Weighty worries: Elizabeth would live in Paris, if it weren't for all that tempting food

What are your three packing essentials?
Estée Lauder‘s Advanced Night Repair, Re-Nutriv Diamond Energy Crème and Stress Relief Eye Masks – flying and changes in climate are very dehydrating. I’ve used these products for years and they are the best. Having the best beachwear is a must on holiday – I’m at a distinct advantage as I usually empty the entire Elizabeth Hurley Beach sample rail into my suitcase.

What does British Airways mean to you?
I love BA – they have the best staff and flight attendants. I always feels safe and cocooned when I’m on one of their flights.

Which Tier of the Executive Club are you in?
I am a Gold card holder.

What do you spend your Avios on?
Flights to India, the USA and the Caribbean – if I can be organised enough to book in advance.
