The Las Vegas hotels with experiences to wow

Las Vegas; the silver state’s very-own martini-flavoured oasis, where world-renowned hotels Wynn Las Vegas and Encore nurture some of the best entertainment the city has to offer. From mighty Master Classes to one-of-a-kind evenings, we run through the Wynn and Encore experiences worth putting your money on

Deep dive

There’s nothing quite like a fantasy-themed, acrobatic, synchronised dance performance taking place inside an aqua-theatre. No, really. And that is the only way you can hope to describe Le Rêve “The Dream” the Wynn’s world-famous and most splashtastic spectacle. This is the only Las Vegas show set in an aquatic theatre and no seat is ever more than 40 feet from the stage, but now you can get even closer. For a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, guests can book the Diver’s Dream package: a two-night stay at the hotel with an included scuba training session, backstage tour and the chance to dive into the theatre itself during a live performance.

All that jazz

Over at the lavish Lakeside restaurant, Executive Chef Walzog is serving up the stuff of dreams (with table-side views of the Lake of Dreams, no less). On Sunday’s only, guests can now enjoy an impressive brunch spread - including Alaskan king crab legs, oysters on the half shell, crab cake eggs benedict and char-grilled flat iron steak frites - all with a side of live, Dixieland-style jazz. Great for those who love a bit of Sax with their Sugarloaf Bellini.

Behind the Scenes

Behind the scenes

From pasta-prepping to magazine-worthy floral arrangements, learning tips from master mixologists to cooking up works of art with the city's finest bakers, plan your stay around a one-off Master Class. This series of intimate workshops invites you behind the scenes at the hands of Wynn Encore's master chefs, sommeliers, bakers and artisans. The hotel's event listings is filled with out-of-the-ordinary experiences, so make sure to check out the website before your stay to see which unique experience works for you.

Something supreme

The showstopping Diana Ross returns once again to the Encore Theatre for a series of dynamic new performances this February. Kicking off a very special year (it's the songstresses 75th birthday in March), Ms. Ross will be celebrating her personal and professional milestones each evening with her enduring collection of award-winning songs and brilliant new costumes. The giver of timeless memories to millions of fans across the world, it promises to be an experience fans will never forget.

With a 40-foot waterfall, pine-topped mountain and impressive array of shows taking place on its shores, Wynn’s Lake of Dreams is a must-see Vegas phenomenon. As the sun sets, you can expect the stage to burst in a kaleidoscope of music, dance and puppetry, utilising over four thousand lights, stunning holographics and beautiful hand-made design for some seriously dramatic effects. Take your seat out on the show terrace, or at one of two open-front restaurants, Lakeside or SW Steakhouse, for a perfect view and a deluxe cocktail to boot.
