The best of BA news

We celebrate the launch of short-haul routes from our new Gatwick subsidiary, plus double Tier Points with British Airways Holidays bookings and our new global brand ambassador, tennis superstar Emma Raducanu MBE

A warm welcome to Emma Raducanu
The end of last year saw us name tennis superstar, Emma Raducanu MBE, as our latest global brand ambassador. We will have the privilege of flying the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2021 to tournaments and training around the world, including this year’s French and US Opens and the Masters events in California and Rome, as Emma embarks on the next stage of her worldwide tennis career.

The news follows Emma’s triumph at the US Open in September 2021, making her the first British woman to win a Grand Slam title since 1977. We proudly carried both Emma and her team home from the win, warmly welcoming her back to the UK to be reunited with her family.

As well as tennis, Emma has a passion for aviation, which we hope to bring to life with various activities throughout our long-term partnership, reaching and inspiring women and young adults to consider a career in the industry.
