Ensure your flight is full of entertainment: grab a best-selling novel or a sudoku puzzle book for breaks between movie-watching, and take a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated on the journey (on-board staff are usually happy to top it up). Landed in your sun-soaked destination? Enjoy those beach days worry-free thanks to your pre-purchased sunscreen, after sun lotion and rehydration tablets.
Top tip: remember to scan Nectar at check-out to ensure you collect those points that can be coverted to Avios.

Top up your tech
Few things are quite as irritating on holiday as realising you’ve got the wrong adaptor or forgotten your charger, so be smart by brushing up on all your travel tech before you board the plane. Grab a pair of noise-cancelling headphones to soak up the rays in peace. Hiking tremendous trails? Order your travel money online
Sort out your holiday currency in good time by heading to Sainsbury’s Bank, where Nectar members receive better rates. You can make your foreign currency exchanges online or over the phone and collect the cash in person in as little as four hours while picking up your holiday bits in store. More than 220 travel money bureaus can be found in Sainsbury’s outlets across the UK, and these offer 50-plus different currencies.
Top tip: Nectar members can exchange the currency back at a better rate. 

Get beach ready
Whether you’re heading to Antalya or the Algarve, a lazy beach day (or two) is a summer holiday obligation.
