The summer fragrances to keep you fresh on your travels

With a wealth of holiday-worthy fragrances filling the shelves, finding a signature scent for your upcoming travels can be overwhelming. Beauty and travel writer Rachel Avery is here to help with eight perfume picks to keep you smelling sweet this summer

Floral Street Neon Rose 50ml

Inspired by the famous Floral Street in Covent Garden, the name of this fragrance brand gives a big clue about what they do best. If romantic, flowery tones are your usual calling, be prepared to fall head over heels for their Neon Rose (£45). Breathe in a beautifully blended cocktail of bergamot, cedarwood and peach for a slightly punchier take on a classic floral fragrance. The richer base notes mean it has great staying power too.

Jo Malone London Blackberry & Bay Cologne 100ml

While the eponymous fragrance brand may no longer have its founder at the helm, you can always trust the quality of a Jo Malone fragrance. And this ever-popular scent (£74) receives rave reviews for a reason. The unique combination of vibrant berry and earthy bay leaf creates a truly captivating aroma. Plus, the natural layers of this fragrance mean you’ll be treated to a slightly different impression as the day goes on.

Elie Saab Le Parfum In White 90ml

Sweet enough to guarantee compliments from the moment you jet off, this light and fruity scent (£64) from the team at Elie Saab has top notes of orange blossom and jasmine. It manages to strike the perfect balance between sweetness and richness, without being at all cloying. It’s a chypre fragrance (made from sandalwood) that has ‘day at the beach’ written all over it…

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc 50ml

Sultry, warm and addictive, this unisex scent from Tom Ford (£124) is a go-to for summer spritzing for everyone. The interesting fusion of heady amber and spicy cardamom will take you effortlessly from day to night. The best news is, a little goes a long way so you only need a small amount on your pulse points to radiate from dawn till dusk.

04 Tom Ford

Glossier You 50ml

Known for their skincare expertise, Glossier may be a wildcard when it comes to fragrance, but its  enthralling scent, Glossier You (£45), will win you over in just one whiff. Its robust tones are musky, woody and romantic, making it the perfect partner for those long, balmy evenings. And you can count on those heavy base notes to really go the distance.
