A new place to lounge in Dubai

The British Airways lounge in Dubai is the latest to receive a high-end make over, complete with internationally-renowned art and a brand new Concorde Bar

If you find yourself passing through Dubai International Airport in the coming months, make some time to enjoy the new Executive Club lounge.

The brand new lounge showcases the best of British design, and features chairs clad in Andrew Muirhead leather, Boss armchairs, Vitra lounging chairs and relaxing Fritz Hansen wing-back seats.

There is space for 91 customers, all of whom will have easy access to power points and USB ports to charge their devices. Guests will also have the ability to print wirelessly from anywhere in the lounge.

A large signature piece of art by Iraqi-born artist Dia Al Azzawi hangs on one of the walls, alongside a collection of carefully-chosen local and international pieces, while glass screens separate the seating areas for customers looking for a little privacy.

When it comes to food, there is a new deli area serving modern British dishes alongside favourites from the local region – including different hot and cold options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can also help themselves to a variety of drinks, with everything from freshly ground coffee to wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks.

The new Concorde Bar

The Dubai lounge will also feature a Concorde Bar – first launched in Singapore. This is an exclusive space where BA First customers and their guests can relax and dine, and features striking black timber, Nero marble surfaces, Italian tiles and champagne metal finishes.

First customers receive an electronic reader to access the bar, where complimentary champagne is served alongside spirits and soft drinks.

The newly built Concourse D, where the new lounge is located, is accessible in Terminal 1, after immigration control.
