Kudaa Huraa plays host to the annual Four Seasons Surfing Champions Trophy, and it’s the perfect place to brush up on your skills, or even take to a board for the first time. The resort’s Surf School caters to everyone, whether you want a quiet lesson on the lagoon or to be let loose on the superb ‘breaks’, which are just a quick boat ride away.
Family fun
Far from being just for honeymooners, the Four Seasons Resorts Maldives have plenty on offer to entertain younger members of the family. At the Marine Discovery Centre on Landaa Giraavaru there is a dedicated children’s section where they can visit the hand-reared turtle hatchlings and get hands-on with sea cucumbers and starfish. The Surf School at Kudaa Huraa offers six-and-over lessons in the private lagoon, while scuba and snorkelling classes allow kids to explore beneath the waves. Four to 12-year-olds can also make the most of the action-packed Kids’ Club programme, with activities ranging from parasailing to junior spa sessions and, of course, menus to suit the pickiest of palates.
