Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Come live your very own Star Wars™ story in a whole new land where a galaxy far, far away unfolds all around you. Welcome to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge**, opening August 29, 2019. Around corners and through back alleys, you can build your own droid and custom lightsaber and sample the curious concoctions of the local cantina. Then, gather your crew and take control of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. And, after opening later in the year, find yourself caught in an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – where the incoming laser fire of a towering AT-AT is matched only by the red crackle of Kylo Ren’s lightsaber. Soon the time will come to live your adventure at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Free Disney dining and drinks

After a great way to budget meals without compromising on quality, flexibility or choice? The Disney Dining plans are an excellent pre-paid alternative to carrying cash - and, in 2020, will be free for guests staying a minimum five nights at the resort. Until then, Disney Diners staying at any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel can cover food costs accrued across all six parks on their contactless MagicBand – a colourful bit of tech worn on the wrist that can be touched in to buy food or drink at any of the 100+ dining venues. From French crepes to British pub fare, Italian gelatarias to Japanese teahouses, there’s a whole world of cuisines to try, with special healthy options for the kids.

*For arrivals between 1 January - 3 October 2020 (blackout dates apply), guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida can enjoy free Disney dining and drinks for every day of their stay. For full terms and conditions, click here
