The household essentials
Those who make the most out of their British Airways American Express Card are the ones who use it for everyday spend and ongoing subscriptions. Whether it’s buying food and petrol, getting tools for your garden or a new subscription – you’ll be rewarded for your everyday spend with a steady flow of Avios to your Executive Club account.
Welcoming you aboard
To anyone taking out a British Airways American Express Credit Card for the first time, you’ll receive an introductory bonus of 5,000 Avios if you spend £1,000 within the first three months of Cardmembership, while Premium Plus Cardmembers will be given a massive 25,000 Avios for hitting £3,000 within the same timeframe.3 Whichever you receive, both balances are enough to book a future reward flight – bookable up to 355 days in advance – with your Avios.
If you’re already a personal Cardmember, inviting a friend to apply for either British Airways American Express Card will earn you up to 90,000 bonus Avios per calendar year, while your friends will receive a special introductory welcome offer, too.4
Adventures ahead
If there’s one thing better than using Avios to discount your travel, then surely it’s getting to travel so cheaply that it feels like a steal. Unique to reward flights in the UK and Europe, the Reward Flight Saver ticket removes the need to pay the standard taxes, fees and carrier charges, leaving you with just £1 to pay, per person return, on top of the Avios amount. To book, you’ll need to have collected at least one Avios in the last 12 months – made easy with your British Airways American Express Card.
Just think, you could take a future trip to Amsterdam for 18,000 Avios + £1, or, if you’re dreaming of further afield, to Athens for 29,000 Avios + £1. Avios rates quoted are for a return flights travelling in economy (Euro Traveller), on peak dates.
