INSPIRATION • November 2017
When The Club launched in October 2013, we had a simple mission: to provide the inside track on travel, the Executive Club and, of course, the latest developments at British Airways. Fifty issues on and we’ve delivered countless expert opinions, destination inspiration and smart travel tips to satisfy the most curious of travellers. To celebrate this milestone, we scoured the archives for a look back at the best of The Club
Since the magazine launched four years ago, The Club has been in search of the world’s most epic drives, as nominated by motoring experts from the likes of Sir Ranulph Fiennes to David Gandy. In total, these combined drives cover 210,102 miles – the equivalent of travelling around the world more than eight times. We’ve compiled five of the most popular epic drives in The Club’s history.
Whether it’s tips for sleeping on a plane or how to breeze through the airport, The Club has tapped into the knowledge of global travel experts to glean the ultimate smart tips – a total of 376 so far – to help guide you on your travels. This issue, we ask the experts: What will travel look like in 50 years’ time?
From new routes to old favourites, short-haul city breaks to long-haul luxury escapes, we’ve shone the spotlight on 436 BA destinations…
Our How to pack like a pilot piece from August 2015 has been read more than 135,000 times to date, making it the most popular article ever featured in The Club.
According to our celebrity and My Club interviewees, these are the ultimate bucket list destinations: India, China, the Maldives, Iceland and Antarctica. To find out more about the lives of the Executive Club’s travelling elite, we’ve compiled our very own Super Travellers list.
The After Hours Club – a series of exclusive dining events held across London for readers of The Club – has seen talks and tasting menus from top chefs such as Martin Morales and Alfred Prasad. But our July 2017 event, A Taste of the USA at Madison London, had an extra-special twist when an Executive Club Member got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend.
There’s still time to book tickets for our next event on 3 November – A Taste of Mauritius – at British Airways i360 in Brighton.
