A350 touches down in Toronto

The airline’s new Airbus A350 made its inaugural flight to Toronto last month (pictured top of page), marking the start of the aircraft’s North American long-haul service between Canada’s largest city and Heathrow. The latest addition to the BA fleet is one of the most fuel-efficient aircraft operating in the world today. Club Suite makes its 777 debut to JFK

The first Boeing 777 to be fitted with Club Suite, the airline’s latest generation business class seat, has made its maiden journey to New York. The seat offers customers direct-aisle access, doors for greater privacy and luxurious flat-bed seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. Club Suite can also be enjoyed on the new A350 aircraft (see above). British Airways launches two Avios offers for Executive Club Members

British Airways is giving its Executive Club Members greater rewards with not one, but two limited-time only Avios offers. One will see Members able to collect double Avios on up to ten qualifying flights taken before June 2020, while the other will allow Members booking a Reward Flight to enjoy a 50 per cent Avios discount to over 90 worldwide cities. New route for spring 2020: Turkey’s Turquoise Coast

Come spring 2020 sunning yourself on the Turkish Riviera will be easier than ever, thanks to a new British Airways route to Antalya. The six-per-week service will fly direct between Gatwick and the historic Turkish city from 20 April 2020, with a flight time of four and a half hours. A launch offer means flights start from just £139 return in Euro Traveller or £387 in Club Europe, with the option to cut the cost using Avios part payment.

British Airways to offset domestic flight emissions

Worried about your carbon footprint? In January 2020, British Airways will become the first UK airline to pledge net zero carbon emissions on domestic flights. The carbon emissions from customers flying within the UK will be offset and invested in carbon reduction projects around the world. These projects include protection of rainforests and reforestation programmes. Customers travelling internationally can reduce their impact on the environment by using the BA carbon-offsetting tool. The British Airways Cabin Crew Entertainment Society

From 27 November to 1 December 2019, the British Airways Cabin Crew Entertainment Society (BACCES) will stage its 48th annual pantomime – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – at the Beck Theatre in Hayes. The self-funded society, formed in 1971, has raised in excess of £1 million for charitable causes over its 48-year history, and is currently made up of a 32-strong cast of British Airways cabin crew and staff.
