The refurbished rooms are inspired by the tranquil Mediterranean Sea as part of the hotel’s renovations for this year’s summer season. Guests can take advantage of a long list of facilities and activities that vie for their attention alongside the commanding ocean views. The surroundings of the Palladium Hotel provide enough entertainment for every taste, but should you decide to broaden your horizons it’s only a 15-minute drive into Benalmadena, where fun-filled nights include cocktails and karaoke.
Dining decisions
With 320 days of sunshine a year in this part of Spain, the Palladium Hotel can serve you an enviable holiday tan, as well as a gastronomic choice between the resort’s three restaurants and four available bars. Begin with a cocktail in the Sky Lounge while you bask in the Malagan heat and enjoy an à la carte or buffet meal in serene surroundings. Or, for anyone who may have indulged a little too much, there’s a brand new fitness suite so you can keep your fitness as topped up as your tan.
Ultimate relaxation
The fantastic pool is just 50m from the beachfront, which is accessible directly from the hotel. There’s an on-site spa for those looking to be pampered, or you can increase the indulgence with the help of Zensations by Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness for the ultimate relaxation experience. But, the real rejuvenation lies on the roof, where three hydro massage baths are ready to stimulate your circulation, skin and mind, while the children can make the most of the kids club or indulge in a range of activities, including golf, tennis, horse riding, sailing and scuba diving.
Coast to coast
There’s even more to explore beyond reception. Located only 30 minutes from Malaga airport and the city centre of Benalmádena, there is a wealth of activities and culture all within a short drive. Begin by exploring part of the 150km of Andalusian coastline and discover one of the many pretty fishing villages and 26 blue-flag beaches for a laidback lunch. A trip to the ‘Costa del golf’ wouldn’t be complete though without a swift back nine in an area that triumphantly claims to have the highest concentration of golf courses in Europe.
Live like a local
All along the Spanish south coast history, culture and nightlife overflow, each vying for your attention. Within a short drive from the Palladium Hotel Costa del Sol, a variety of fascinating sightseeing spots, cultural attractions and castles are waiting to be explored. The gorgeous Caminito del Rey hiking path is a photographer’s dream and the perfect place to start, while the striking Alcazaba de Málaga fortress, that overlooks Malaga, commands similar awe. For a slice of culture try the Picasso, Thyssen and Pompidou museums. If that’s not enough then there’s an exciting nightlife all along the coastline with heaps of bars and nightclubs in Puerto Marina (Benalmádena), Puerto Banús (Marbella), the Teatinos quarter in Malaga, and many more. Guests are truly spoilt for choice.
