The Executive Club guide to the British Airways sale

The Original Sale is still on – but not for long. Here’s how to get in on the action and change your view before it’s too late

In a nutshell: With days left to go, our sale offers discounts on flights and holiday packages to more than 100 destinations, all available to book at ba.com/sale until 28 January 2025.

As a rule, booking flights and holidays during sale time is never a bad idea. Right now, our Original Sale means that the majority of our long-haul routes are discounted, making them just about the hottest tickets in town for those who want a get a big trip – for less – under their belt in 2025. Most of our short-haul routes are offering discounts, too. On these routes, discounted flights sit alongside slashed holiday packages from British Airways Holidays starring five-star hotels and that all-important ATOL protection.

The world’s your oyster
This sale sees more than 100 destinations offered up on a cut-price plate – from adventurous US cities to tropical island escapes and historic capitals.

North America
There are currently 29 destinations across the US and Canada in the Original Sale, but the three biggest bargains right now (thats less than £400 based on a seven-night return journey) are New York, Toronto and Boston, at £390, £389 and £390, respectively. To whet your appetite, our friends at High Life interviewed the finest chefs from each East Coast city in this expert foodie guide.

New York’s Central Park

The Original Sale is bringing the West Coast that bit closer, too, with fares to San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver all coming in at less than £520 (also based on a seven-night return journey).

You can clinch a seven-night holiday from London to Orlando from £599 per person in September 2025, or a whirlwind stay in Vegas at £749 per person, travelling from London this February.

Budapest: a city of two halves

Europe
Across Europe, we’ve slashed prices on city breaks and beach holidays so you can whip up an eviable short-haul schedule for 2025.

There are top-rated city break packages everywhere from Lisbon to Budapest, Vienna to Milan. And to find the five-starriest of them all, simply head to our discounted European holidays and sort by ‘Star Rating’, which will surface the top-rated, most luxurious bolt-holes at their best price.

If you’d rather be lazing on a beach, sunshine and sand come most economical across the Algarve, with breaks at nature-focused Monchique Resort & Spa, iconic family resort Pine Cliffs Gardens, Cascade Wellness Resort for ultimate rejuvenation and Bela Vista Hotel & Spa, within walking distance of the Algarve’s most prestigious golf clubs.

A beach in St Lucia

Rest of world
Sale time can be just the nudge you need to book the bucket-trip adventure you’ve been longing for. After all, with an Original Sale discount, that dream trip to India gets a whole lot easier (return flights to Mumbai are now from £509, departing from London in September 2025), as does a trip to one of the Caribbeans most idyllic islands (that’s return flights to St Lucia from London in September 2025 from £440).

However, since you’re putting in the miles, you might want to plump for a hotel as part of the deal. In Dubai, get three nights, half board at Fairmont The Palm from £649, including flights, for travel in June. Or, in lush green Mauritius, seven nights at Maritim Resort & Spa, half board, including flights this September, from just £1,299pp. The deal even includes unlimited green fees at the Maritim Golf Club.

Will this boost my Avios balance?
Yes! You’ll collect Avios for buying flights, as ever, but it’s worth noting that you can collect more by going down the package route with British Airways Holidays. By doing this, you’ll get 1 bonus Avios for every £1 on top of the usual Avios collected from the flights.
