Pull on your Red and Whites shirt and make for the Allianz Stadium in London this November to cheer on the England Rugby Men’s team as they take on New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Japan in the 2024 Autumn Nations Series. Is it really Christmas if you don’t watch A Christmas Carol? The Dickens Theatre Company puts on a cracking period rendition of the Victorian festive classic, with touring dates this November and December across the UK. Right now, the National Trust’s opulent gardens at Stourhead are turning an autumnal shade of red, violet and yellow. They’re about to get even more impressive next month when – from 29 November to 1 January – they become illuminated with swathes of lights. Twinkling across glassy lakes, carpeting the frozen ground and floating in the crisp night sky in kaleidoscopic glory, the lights make up a mile-long trail of displays. These are best explored with a warming mulled wine, nibbling on street food and taking snaps of the mesmerising tunnels of lights.
