Boarding gates go DIY at Heathrow
Following a successful trial in June 2016, British Airways has launched three self-service boarding gates for UK domestic flights at Heathrow Terminal 5 – becoming the first UK airline to introduce automated biometric technology throughout the airport. Three more self-boarding gates are planned to open at each domestic departure stand in mid-June, with a view to roll out the initiative on international flights in the future.

Club Europe comes to the UK
Customers on domestic British Airways flights within the UK can now enjoy all the benefits of Club Europe. From dedicated lounge access and a generous additional baggage allowance, to complimentary inflight food and drink, and extra comfort and space for working and relaxing with the middle seat always remaining free. Plus, Executive Club Members can collect extra Avios and Tier Points when travelling domestically in Club Europe.

Best of British: M&S Food and Euro Traveller
Earlier this year BA launched an exclusive partnership with the much-loved British high street retailer and grocer Marks & Spencer to offer customers a new range of in-flight snacks and food on board short-haul flights to Europe. The response has been extremely positive, with customers delighted with the quality, choice and value. What’s more, Executive Club Members can pay for their food purchases using Avios via the British Airways app – with sweet and savoury snacks starting from as little as 125 Avios. Don’t forget to update your British Airways app and log in before you travel (and putting your phone in flight-safe mode) so that your Avios balance can be displayed safely in the sky. If you’re a Bronze, Silver or Gold Member you can also pay using your Executive Club card.
