First things first, both the Cove Suites and Cove Penthouses are gigantic; guests can luxuriate in over 730 sq ft (suites) or 2,690 sq ft (penthouse) of open-plan glory. The renovations to the Cove buildings were completed as recently as December 2018. Blue Waters describe them, quite rightly, as the ‘pride and joy’ of the resort and you can see why. The interior bedrooms and living spaces have been completely refreshed with bright white, shiplap-clad walls and ocean-hued blue and green fabrics. They also feature bespoke Vincent Sheppard furniture, new 50-inch screen smart TVs, integrated domestic mini bars and Nespresso coffee machines. The terrace is roof covered and features luxury deckchairs so you can read in shade and comfort. It’s up to you (and the weather) how much time you spend inside but, for every minute you do, rest assured you won’t have to lift a finger.

If you can drag them away from the luxury villa, the resort itself has a fantastic kids club for 4-12 year olds; activities include arts and crafts, football, tennis, cricket, jewellery design and even ice-cream trips. That’s not to mention a crèche for the little ones, taking children from 14 months through to three years. On-site staff are trained by Worldwide Kids’ expert trainers, so your little ones will be in the best hands. The beaches themselves are safe and privately owned, meaning you can spend quality time out on the sand for as long as you like without disturbance. Finally, all food menus are kid-considerate – including a variety of children’s buffets and early dining options.

Now that the kids are taken care of, it’s time to steal away for some sophisticated fun.
