Watkins Glen International to Toronto, Canada, via Niagara Falls

“I had the opportunity to drive from this Upstate New York racetrack this year and decided to stop at Niagara Falls. I travel the world with my job, but don’t necessarily get to see the sights, so it was a unique experience for me. If you pull off the main highways on the route, you’ll drive through some pretty, historic towns.”

Brooklyn ePrix Circuit

“I am lucky to be one of the few drivers who has raced in a New York City borough. Before this summer, there had never been a motor race on the city’s streets, until Formula E – the world’s first all-electric racing series – took place in the Red Hook neighbourhood of Brooklyn in July. The backdrop is incredible, especially when you drive down the straight between turns five and six, which reveals an uninterrupted view of the Manhattan skyline.”

Finger Lakes, New York State

“I love being at Watkins Glen International because it means getting to drive around the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York. Having lived in neighbouring Pennsylvania for a good portion of my life, I’m very familiar with the region. I love to spend a day with my wife driving along the scenic byways, stopping at waterfalls, vineyards and cafés on the way. Just pick a lake and start driving – you can’t beat it.”

Long Island’s Gold Coast

“When you have three boys, all under the age of five, you don’t get many chances to take the sportscars out. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a great drive. We often head out in the minivan as a family to Long Island, stopping at beaches and parks on the way. There are also some smaller country roads that lead to the water, which are fun to drive on – with beautiful views at almost every corner.”

Nazareth to the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania

“The one-lane roads and curves on the route from my home in Nazareth – just a few miles from the New York State line – to our family lake house in the Poconos are such fun to drive in my McLaren. The route takes you up into the mountains, and the changes in elevation, combined with the trees and scenery, make for a beautiful drive.”
