Five ways to enjoy a luxury break in Cyprus

The decadent city of Limassol, luxuriously sculpted against the southern coast of Cyprus, is one of the Med’s hottest destinations for spring 2018 – thanks to the grand reopening of the Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

Hit the spa

Begin your luxe experience with a trip to the revitalising Kalloni Spa. Derived from the Greek thalasso meaning ‘sea’ and therapia meaning ‘treatment’, the hotel’s thalassotherapy pools draw on the healing powers of the sea to bring you back to your luxurious best.
Club tip: Make the most of the 12 treatment rooms, but don’t neglect the treatment suites, where you can sit back and relax in one of the spa’s steamy Russian Banyas.

02 More than suite-able

More than suite-able

With Mediterranean Sea views and plush, contemporary earthy décor, the Parklane's sumptuous suites adapt to suit both family trips and romantic getaways. The adults-only lifestyle suites come with access to an exclusive private pool, while all 222 rooms and 52 suites indulge in little luxuries, from in-room movies, bathrobes and slippers, and 24-hour, in-room dining. Make sure to look out for the traditional handmade lace details, sourced from the local town of Lefkara.
Club tip: To balance your inner chi, opt for a Premium Guestroom with chromotherapy, where the calming lights and sea views will have you relaxing in no time.

To balance out all that Cypriot wine, you’ll want to head to the sleek Parkfit pool and gym. The hotel’s temple of fitness, it features state-of-the-art equipment, an indoor pool, as well as a Pilates studio and healthy re-fuel bar to get you rehydrated in style.
Club tip: Not feeling the treadmill? Enjoy the Cypriot sun on one of the resort’s three tennis courts.

Tucked away in the north-eastern corner of the park lies the most elusive of the resort’s eight restaurants and four bars, The Mistiko Club Prive, where you can nurse tall flutes of Champagne, and wine by the glass or bottle. Alternatively, try The Gallery, for creatively concocted cocktails and afternoon tea.
Club tip: Stick around until late to see the Mistiko Club turn into a full nightclub dancefloor. For a more relaxed evening, opt for The Gallery lounge bar, where live piano music and speciality sushi will have you lazing away the night in style.

05 Old town magic

Old town magic

A 15-minute drive from the resort, you’ll find the narrow, honey-hued streets of Limassol’s Old Town – a gorgeously historic assembly of pastel-perfect shutters, church-side cafes and medieval castles. For a more modern affair, take a short walk to the Old Harbour and Limassol Marina for designer shops and the eccentric sculptures of Molos seaside park.
Club tip: Don’t just settle for Limassol, there are plenty of other nearby towns to explore. Try Omodos for its wine; Lefkara for lace (a favourite of Da Vinci), or Vavla for beautiful, late-Byzantine architecture.
